It has been near 12 years since the first time I met Zollie Smith. I was a new employee in U.S. Missions, and he was the Executive Director. It took only a few moments to discern his pastoral heart, his genuine interest in people, and his passion to know what a person’s relationship is with the Lord. He truly wants to know, “What is your story?” Now, taking a deep dive into his personal story, I can see that it has all been part of a story that is much bigger than any of us. His story, my story, your story. We are all interdependent on one another, and Zollie explains it so well as he draws us into the heart of knowing God. So, he asks, “How does your story align with the story of God?” As you turn the pages In The Catastrophe in the Garden, the answer will become crystal clear. It all began “in the beginning.” And it all began in the garden. It is like reading the account of Genesis for the first time, with new eyes.
